JOB POSTING: Bucknell University - Physical Organic Chemistry (9-6-2016)

Dr. David Roll, Professor of Biological Chemistry at Roberts Wesleyan College has informed us of a position at Bucknell University.

The Department of Chemistry at Bucknell University invites applications for an open-rank, tenure-track faculty position in physical organic chemistry to begin August 2017. The successful candidate will have a commitment to undergraduate education and will teach core-level courses and laboratories in organic chemistry and upper-level courses in physical organic chemistry, as well as participating in general chemistry courses on a rotating basis. Development of a strong research program in physical organic chemistry, broadly defined, that complements existing research in the department and involves undergraduate and MS-level research students is expected.

Candidates must have a Ph.D. in chemistry or a closely related field. We seek to hire a person with the potential to be an outstanding teacher/scholar and to contribute to advancing diversity efforts within the sciences. The Department/Division of Chemistry at St. John's Unversity, Queens, New York, is seeking applications for a tenure tack position in physical chemistry starting fall 2017. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in physical chemistry or a closely related field (post-doctoral experience preferred) and be committed to excellence in teaching. Grand Valley State University  Organic Chemistry tenure track faculty position (9-28-2016)

ASSISTANT PROFESSOR in ORGANIC CHEMISTRY available in the Chemistry Department at GRAND VALLEY STATE UNIVERSITY, Allendale, Michigan, to begin August 2017.  This tenure track position requires a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching and research.  Ph.D. in Chemistry required; ABD will be considered with Ph.D. completed by August 2017. Though not a requirement, post-doctoral and/or teaching experience is preferred.

The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching and to developing a productive research program with undergraduate students.  In addition to Analytical Chemistry, teaching assignments may include courses in instrumental methods, general chemistry, environmental chemistry, or forensic science.
